[REVIEW] MAGICLEAN FLOOR CLEANER IN AROMATIC LAVENDER

What often looks easy on the surface are often the hardest to decide. With this many brands on the market, it’s vital that you choose a floor cleaner that can most accurately meet your basic requirements. If you have babies or furry friends at home, it is best to look for reputable brands as they are often formulated to different needs and usually contain "friendly" ingredients and chemicals and should be relatively safe to use.

I was again slapped with the role of being a first timer for choosing a good (and reasonably priced) cleaner for the nest and you know how it can get to you sometimes. Trust me, it's never easy. Despite this many recommendations by family and friends, I decided to go along with my gut feel, with a household brand known by many. No doubt it was the scent that won me over initially, it was KAO which eventually did.

I really didn't trust the whole marketing crap, how they promise to do this and that but apparently KAO really did live up to their promise! Their newly formulated floor cleaner does really leaves your floor with a smooth finish with no sticky feel to it. Mostly important, it doesn’t leave footprints or visible watermarks once it’s dried out. It seems to zap grease really well though I no longer use Magiclean for my kitchen anymore.

It fills the house with a really calming aromatic scent, though I am not entirely sure if it’s Lavender. It also leaves the house feeling squeaking clean and livable, which usually isn’t the case for the nest. I don’t know why but dust starts self-accumulating after a day of dusting, which is seriously starting to piss me off. I try to mop every day now, and I love it.

[REVIEW] EVERYDAY MINERALS

I adore Everyday Minerals! Not just with the products itself, but the entire crew. I never had an inquiry so efficiently attended to and an order shipped so quickly. Shopping at Everyday Mineral proved hassle and dummy free!

My encounter with Everyday Minerals started with their flat top Kabuki brush which I bought from eBay, when my Maybelline Pure Mineral Foundation didn’t work for me, or rather, didn’t work the way I wanted it to. Google-ing was initially just for knowledge and reference, but when I looked at their range of products and videos from youtube, I knew I had to get the samples which I’m glad I did and eventually could not live without.

Their products are really customized, you can practically find foundations for every single skin tone and type, how amazing is that! I used to have problems with drugstore brands since choices are limited, and they have that “all skins type” crap. I like how Everyday Minerals looks on my skin, not at all cakey and does not leave you feeling oily after hours of wearing them. That’s how mineral makeups should be anyways.

Knowing and understanding your skin tone is easy at Everyday Minerals. One, either grab a sample and pay for shipping or two, take a picture of yourself without makeup and post for advice at their website. If they say you belong to the Olive or Butter family even you don’t think you look it, trust them! It’ll work out. It’s funny cause when the samples first came, the colors I thought would work didn’t and those I thought didn’t, worked wonders.

I order regularly to stock up colors and brushes, so if anyone is interested in a spree or just wants to tag on my order, let me know by email.

[REVIEW] SQUARE ENIX AND ATLUS

I have been asked many a times what I think of Square Enix (formally known as Square Soft) and Atlus Role Playing Games (RPGs). Anyone who knows me in real life, knows I am a hardcore gamer, who breathes Sony Playstation. And not forgetting my newfound loves - Nintendo DS and Wii.

When I got my first Sony Playstation (a gift from my Dad by the way), I was elated! And I still clearly remember till day, my first game was the then popular Final Fantasy Tactics.

Until their merger, I was still a fan. Square Soft worked towards games that pulls you into their world while Square Enix focus mainly on their graphical effects. No doubt it can be quite an eye candy initially, but I think it’s ultimately the gameplay and storyline that lures people into playing. Square Enix became a household name with their Final Fantasy series and Kingdom Heart, a first time collaboration with Walt Disney.

I was then introduced to Altus’s Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, whom I have been grateful since. One word: Kick-butt!! Nothing like Square Enix in terms of graphics but the plot was amazing. Very girly like, that just makes you go “wooo..” “ahhh…” whilst playing.

Then came the Shin Megami Tensei and Atelier Iris series. Same thing, great plot and timeless gameplay though graphics still lacking but you’ll look pass that as the game draws you to them. Very original and fresh out ideas that relates and a great team of scriptwriters and voice over actors and actress.

With Atlus, it just gets better and better. Slightly repetitive (the tarot cards, monsters/shadows and personas) but personally still good. I partially liked how they are always thinking out of the box. The hidden hour in Tartarus in Persona3, a hidden world in the TV in Persona4 - it just goes to show how dedicated the team is, and I really appreciate how they still continue to produce good games on Playstation 2 platforms despite the release of Playstation 3.

No doubt I would continue to support Square Enix, my expectations and desires to play seemed to taper off as the production of their games. Probably to naught someday but it seems there are still that spark that excites me. I wonder if it could be the works of Square Enix mind manipulating marketing team.

On a related note, game developers should continue producing games on both Sony Playstation 2 and Playstation 3, depending on how well the game will run on each platform. I realized there are still a lot of unleashed potential within Playstation 2 and game developers are simply ignoring that fact and moving on to Playstation 3. Though I understand in the business world, it’s the dollar and cent that really matters, it’s just heartbreaking they are not understanding the true meaning of being a game developer anymore.
